Hi Everyone, I’m Erin
I'm a Certified Health & Wellness Coach, Lifestyle Consultant, Fitness Instructor, and I'm a vegan mama-to-be!
The hubs and I are expecting our first baby to arrive this December 2018!
I'm passionate about health and wellness and all things self-improvement! I spend a lot of time in the kitchen creating new recipes and whipping up nutritious and delicious plant-based meals! I am always on the go, whether it’s running, biking, or yoga, staying active keeps me feeling energized! Most importantly, I love spending quality time with my husband and best friend, Dusty, and our big ball of fur, Beaumont! Check out Dusty's website here!
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Growing up, I was always involved in sports and would come home to my mom blending up a smoothie or chopping a big salad for me to eat. When I got to college, the freedom threw me off. I was no longer in sports and spent more time going out with friends, eating fast food, and sleeping in. It didn't take long before I looked in the mirror and wasn't proud of who I saw anymore. Internally I was struggling and felt like I had lost myself.
The Next Step
I decided to start running again and began spending more time at the gym. I eventually ran a half-marathon and felt incredible! As the saying goes, "you can’t out-train a bad diet," I started paying more attention to what I was eating. Together, working out and eating healthy was doing wonders for my body!
When I graduated, I was plagued with anxiety. I didn’t know what I was going to do for the rest of my life. I had gotten my Biology degree, but wasn’t off to med school like most of my classmates. I began working for my parents at their family practice and wellness center (ironic how it really is a family practice)! A couple of years in, Dusty and I got the opportunity to travel the country and further our education in health and wellness by becoming certified coaches. I learned the essential skills to help teach others how to lead healthier and more fulfilled lives and knew that it was my calling!
Do What You Do
Being healthy is what I do! Most of my free time is spent immersing myself in information related to nutrition, fitness, and personal growth. Whether it's reading an article on the latest findings in health, listening to an inspiring podcast, or reading a book on self-improvement, I am always learning and growing! In the summer of 2015 I became a certified spinning instructor for a brand new luxury boutique fitness studio called FLY. Later on, I also obtained my certification as a Schwinn® Cycling Classic Instructor in order to expand my knowledge and training in the sport. Most recently, (September 2018), I also became certified as a Barre (FlyPhysique) instructor, and hope to be teaching classes soon! If you’re new to barre, it’s a low-impact, but high-burn workout that’s great for sculpting, strengthening, toning, and lengthening, to give you that dancer bod, with no dance background necessary!
